Cricket in Olympics???

Olympics is an ultimate international sporting event . Almost all sports are included ,be it team events or individual events. Irrespective of World rankings in their respective sports , players participate in Olympics as a pride representing their countries. But Cricket doesnt find any place in this international event. Cricket was part of Olympics way back in 1900.
If you think of World powers the first names that come across are U.S., Russia, China, France and Japan.None of them are dominating cricketing world or its more apt to say these countries have presence in cricket. So its obvious these countries are not going to push for Cricket. But not all countries play all games in Olympics ! At some point of time cricket has to be considered.
Why ?
Cricket being a popular game , will add more charm and veiwership. Countries like India , where Cricket is a religion , will concentrate more on Olympics and other sports get a chance to prosper.

Why not?
In India cricket seems to be the only game being played and watched.Too much hype surrounds the game and in the process other games are losing a lot like sponsorship,State suppport, fan following, viewership and public interest.Because cricket is not part of Olympics other games are getting more footage and coverage across media. Olympics is the only time when sports like shooting, wrestling ,boxing , badminton etc are discussed more often and cricket goes into a shadow(though not completely). If even cricket finds place in Olympics then less will be spoken about the games, more will be spoken about Cricketing stars and their flop saga.

So its better to keep cricket away from Olympics atleast for the sake of other sportsmen in India.
