Why is it so important?
Bindra's historic feat makes him India's first individual gold medallist, bettering the silver medal feat of double trap shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore in Athens 2004. Indian has won only 5 individual medals at Olympics , and this performance tops the list.

Mr. Cool
As he was going through the rounds he never expressed his emotions he was cool like cucumber concentrating very hard. When he dipped to 10.0 points in the 8 th round every one in the Indian contingent was almost shattered and I could not resist from changing the channel. But he was still cool and then he triggered his best shot in the nerve breaking final round .Only a talent like him could give his best at the final moment. Till recently he was not at his best physical condition as he was recovering from a back injury and was not able to lift his rifle at a stage. He has concentrated hard and worked hard at his physical fitness.
